One family name. A name of your own.
MORE THAN JUST BEAUTIFUL LETTERS
A small name.
A whole lot of meaning.
Korean names often bring a family name and a two-syllable given name together. Behind those syllables? Possibilities, personal hopes, and sometimes a word borrowed from nature.
We’ll help you understand the difference between how a name sounds, how it feels, and what it can mean.

궁금해요?How does the Korean name generator work?
We match your preferred style and gender with 100 curated Korean given names, then compare the whole sound sequence, vowels, consonants and endings. We use an English pronunciation reference when available, or a clearly labelled spelling estimate. You can add how you pronounce your name. Nothing is translated word for word.
Are these real Korean names?
Our collection uses established Korean given names and family names, rather than mixing random syllables. Style and age impressions are editorial, and names can be used by people of different genders.
What does my Korean name mean?
Many Korean names can be written with different Hanja (Chinese characters used in Korean). We show possible character meanings, not one fixed translation. Native Korean word names, such as Ha-neul (sky), work differently.
Can I choose a Korean name if I’m not Korean?
You can explore a Korean name for language learning, a creative project or a nickname. Introduce it as a name you chose, and continue using your legal name wherever official identification is required.
Can I download and share my name?
Yes. Each result has a Download button for a 4:5 PNG name card and a Share button for a public link. Shared pages contain the Korean recommendation, never the first name you typed.
Can I hear how my Korean name is pronounced?
Yes. Every result includes full-name audio at normal and slower speed. The recording is a synthetic Korean pronunciation guide, so an individual speaker may sound slightly different.
Is my personal information saved?
Your input stays in this browser tab and disappears when you refresh or close it. There are no accounts, analytics trackers or databases storing your name. Country is optional and does not affect recommendations.
